Marvin Frutiger was born in Smith Center, Kansas on March 9, 1937 and died on November 4, 2012 at the Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, Florida.

Marvin was raised in Cedar, Kansas, attended Cedar Grade School, Gaylord High School and Fort Hays State College and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. He then enlisted in the United States Navy, attended Officer Candidate School and attained a rank of Lieutenant J.G.

After several assignments in the Navy, Marvin settled in Cocoa Beach, Florida. He retired from the Defense Investigative Service in 1987. He then moved to Titusville, Florida where he lived with his wife Rosalind until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milo and Elsie Frutiger and a brother, Milton who died in infancy. He is survived by Rosalind, his beloved wife of 35 years; son, Erich Frutiger and his wife Mitzi of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Gretchen Gonsalves and her husband Bill of Fall River, Massachusetts; brother, Larry Frutiger and his wife Jan of Wichita, Kansas and three grandchildren.
