Paul Bryon Gott, 80, of Titusville died on September 2, 2007 at home. He was born in Wellington, Ohio where he lived most his life until moving to Florida in 1991 after his marriage to Helen Diller Gott in December of 1990. His first wife was Judith Wright Gott who died in 1989.

Paul helped his family on the farm until he went into the Navy in 1944 and served in WWII. After the Navy he became a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union until he retired in 1990. During his early adult life he also enjoyed racing cars and going to the races. He was a man who valued family and friends.

Some of the many interests in his life included pony/horse pulls, NASCAR racing, golfing and bowling. He recently retired from three bowling leagues where he won many awards.

Paul is survived by his wife Helen, his children Debbie Lust and her husband Brian, Kathy Cody, Paula Moon and her husband Jeffrey, stepchildren Dennis Diller and his wife Sue, Robin Sawyer and her husband Chris, and Richard Diller. His loving grandchildren Melissa, Trisha, Veronica, Nathaniel, Kevin, Jay, Aaron, Rebecca, Jonathan, Angela, Joshua, Matthew, Faith, Adam and Luke and seven great-grandchildren will miss him greatly. He is also survived by brothers Richard Gott and his wife Lois, Harold Gott and his wife Carol, and sister Naomi Searle and husband Fred. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

There will be a showing on Thursday, September 6th, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., at Newcomer Funeral Home in 2400 S. Washington Avenue, Titusville, Florida, after which the family will take him home to Ohio where there will be a Memorial Service in Spencer, Ohio and then burial will be at Wellington Union Cemetery.

We would like to thank all the wonderful personnel at Vitas Hospice for their very loving care that they provided to Paul and to the whole family during this time of hardship. A special thanks to Jean, Diane, Amanda, Kim and Reverend Donna.
