There was no one kinder than Michael. It was an absolute pleasure each time you got to see him, because he just had such an upbeat attitude and just joyful nature. He was simply a kind and beautiful soul who loved his family, teaching, and traveling. He never said no, he was always willing to help in any way possible and that made him stand out for all of the right reasons. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends,

Palfy was one of the best teachers I had during my senior year. At the beginning of the year since I was taking government I would here great things about him and couldn’t wait to be in his class second semester. Second semester came and he already had started making my days better. He made us laugh, helped us with anything and always will stay in our hearts. Rest In Peace Mr.Palfy and thank you for always making my sad days better and making me laugh and being there for me. You will always be in the heart of us Class of 2020!

For the little time you were my teacher, Thank you so much for cheering up my mornings and being able to make me laugh when I felt down, and for believing in me when I needed it, barely had faith in myself . I hope you rest in paradise.

Sissy, Liz and Jackie, my heart goes out to you at this time of your loss. I know Mike’s joyful, loving spirit will be with you always. My memories of Mike go way back to the 70s and 80s. I was visiting the family a little before Christmas one time and Mike came in with the largest Christmas tree I had ever seen! It went clear to the ceiling and bushed way out! When his Mom asked where he found it at this late date he laughed and said he cut it down over by the church or the cemetery. Another time I was with the family in Wildwood NJ. His mom gathered all us girls around and very seriously told us if anyone tried to steal our purses on the boardwalk just give it to them. We were more important than the money. Mike decided to trick her on this and snuck up behind her on the boardwalk and tried to snatch her purse. She immediately turned around and beat him over the head with it! I can still hear him yelling “Mom Mom it’s me, Mike! I was only kidding!” And finally I remember how he generously offered his apartment to my family for free when we went to Disney in Orlando in the 80s. Thank you again Mike! I know you’re laughing in heaven as you watch over all of us!

Mike was a breath of fresh air! I first met him when I was working as a dean at Poinciana High School. But my children remember him as their Economics teacher. He was such a compassionate and caring teacher - and oh, so patient! I never saw him angry, and he always had something positive to say! I will miss him, but I will not forget the lessons he taught me; I am a better educator - and a better person - because of knowing him. Rest In Peace my friend.

Mr. Palfy was an outstanding teacher he was always there to help his student out, he always gave the students extra time to do the work and always made sure we understood. He always told us what to expect once we walk into the real world. I would never forget such an amazing teacher like him.... gone but never forgotten <3

Mr. Palfy was an amazing teacher at Poinciana High School that touched so many generations of Eagles! I had the pleasure of getting to know this fellow Steelers fan when I came to PHS five years ago and he never once hesitated to help a fellow teacher, student, or family that came across his path! He will forever be an Eagle and be greatly missed! Rep the P(alfy)

Mr. Palfy was the one co-worker who always made sure to greet me on the way to and from our cars each day as we walked into and out of the school. I've never seen him without a smile on his face or a kind word on his tongue. Following him on Facebook was so much fun because he constantly posted about his traveling adventures. I know he had planned to retire this June 2020 and travel some more but now he gets to travel the heavens as he watches over us from above. You were a pleasure to work with Mike! You will be missed. My deepest sympathy to all of his family during this time. God bless you all. Love Stacey Cerda

Mr. Palfy will truly be missed. He was a wonderful person and his positive energy will always remain with me. He was always laughing and smiling and in my 5 years at PHS he was always HAPPY. He loved and talked about all his adventures that he would take, especially with his daughter Jackie. He was super proud and happy of your engagement. I will always remember our daily talks, you coming to sign in daily by my office and say "Hello Kiddo, how's it going" and NEVER turning down the help when I needed your assistance with class coverage. Your positive energy and smile will always walk the halls of Poinciana High School. #RepthePALFY Mr. Palfy's family are in my thoughts and prayers and may God comfort you with love and peace during this time. He will be forever be remembered as a Soaring Eagle!!! WE LOVE YOU MR PALFY AND MAY YOU REST ETERNALLY IN THE WONDERFUL GATES OF HEAVEN. <3 XO

Mike will be greatly missed at PHS. He had a heart of gold. He really cared about each and everyone of his students. My nephew was in his class and had the best time ever with him as a teacher. My deepest condolences go out to his family especially his daughter who he always shared stories about. Just remember he will be doing his work in Heaven and looking over us.

My condolences to the family. I knew Mr. Palfy for three years working at Poinciana High School. He was the most sincere, humble, and loving person. We always crossed each other in the morning and chat for a little bit. He was always happy. He loved his students, and was friendly with all the staff. I will be missing our morning greetings ,conversations and his presence. May God give his family strength and peace in this hard time. He will be missed dearly and I will never forget him.

To the Palfy Family,
Mr. Palfy was the most gentle and pleasant person that you could ever meet and his laughter was infectious. My husband and Mr. Palfy walked in the gates at Poinciana High School every morning together and he said during their walk in the morning they shared some memorable conversations. I will miss him as he would come to me in the guidance department to send a fax or make copies for him. He was always so kind to me and to find that in a person is rare. Farewell Mr. Palfy and I know you are resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
Love,
The Jones Family

I have known Michael since 1986.
He was an incredible human being. His kind will not pass this way again.
I taught with him for one year at St. Cloud Middle School. His students loved him as I am sure they did at SCHS and Poinciana High School.
As a friend he always had the ability to make me laugh when I felt down as well as share the good times too.
I had invited he and Jackie to come and visit us in Oregon. I am sure they would have come.
It is still unbelievable to me that he is gone, but I know I will see him again in heavenly places.

Mary and Liz, I was so sorry to hear about Mike. He was always a big part of your family and you both were so blessed to have a brother that was so attentive to both of you.. Little brother watching over his big sisters. The stories you would tell .. You could tell he was very family oriented. I am glad he was able to enjoy life... And how proud he was of his daughter! Keeping everyone in my prayers. It's still hard to believe. Love and peace... Tootie

Meeting Mike when he came to visit his sister “Liz” in Atlanta was a fantastic experience. We hit it off extremely well. Yes, he had a terrific sense of humor. After I had told him about my recent surgery, he never called me Connie, his name for me became Semi-Colon. I instantly thought of him as my loving laughable younger brother. He will always be in my thoughts, prayers & in my heart. Rest In Peace Dear Mike, your Friend Semi-Colon. (Connie Myslinski)
