We found some pictures last night - realized Luke looks just like you when you were a little boy - and Jordan looks like you as a man when you let your beard and hair get unruly.
You being gone has left this huge void - I have to tell you that this sucks - big time.
We’ve cried, we’ve also laughed at your videos dancing to George Michael. We’ve questioned your use of cardboard and painters tape - and finally realized there was a method to your madness when we all tried to leave the house and you were always in reverse walking back in.
Last night I was reminded of the time you had a 16 year old me attempt to drive your car up on individual ramps so you could work on it. With careful instruction and directions I somehow managed to drive the car up (and over) the ramps with it coming crashing down. I still remember your hands waving no no no as you probably saw impending doom - I can still picture the look on your face as you ran your hands through your baby fine hair as you realized you should of had Chris do it instead of me. I swore sitting behind the wheel that was probably going to be my last day on earth, but you took a deep breath and asked if I was ok. And then you gave me the chance to try again (after we pried the stands out from beneath the car.)
I’m positive God allowed that memory to flood back, to remind me of your patience and heart towards us girls.
I miss you calling and asking if I’ve talked to my seeeester.
As our first Father’s Day without you approaches - we’re going to celebrate you. Your heart, character, definitely some George Michael, no beer (still gross- sorry!)
I want you to know that we are ok- looking out for each other, just like you’ve always told us to. We even stayed home when it was raining so we’d be safe.
I’d like to say you’d be very proud - we’re doing the best we can, just missing you a lot.
