Steve was so welcoming when we moved next to him and Karen a year and a half ago. Such a down to earth person with a sense of humor to match. Thank you for the friendship you both gave to Gary and I . When I look out and see the Cardinal you made for us I will think.of you and when I drink a glass of wine I'll remember that you made the lovely wine holder. You will be missed as a friend more than you know. Our little Sophie misses you too.

Condolences to Steve's family. Steve was a classmate of mine from Kishacoquillas High School. I have many fond memories of the great times we shared while in high school (dances at school and the Belleville Fire Hall).
Rest in peace my friend.

And our paths crossed...our friendship formed some fifty-three years ago and we were inseparable as best friends for three solid years until our graduation and life pried us apart. The years were not kind to our friendship...for many things got in our way as difficulties and miles came between us. You were still my best friend ever and will always remain as such for eternity...and beyond. The memories are bittersweet and my heart is heavy with your passing... forevermore and always rest in peace until we meet again.
Karen and family...please accept my condolences in your time of loss

Steve was a man whose family always came first, and that was admirable by any standard.
He was a good friend.
A cold Coors, a lot of laughs, (19 some odd years worth)-It didn't get better than that.
He was a good man...one worth knowing.
I will miss you Steve.
~ Russell White - December 14, 2019
Steve is an amazing man. Had a HUGE heart of gold. His laugh could be heard from all over and his smile was so big. He cared about people. He loved his gardening around his home and it shows. He had pride in everything he did.
I am truly going to miss his amazing friend hugs and kisses .... You always knew when he was in the room. I will miss seeing you on your knee's at the Lodge. R.I.P. Steve. You deserve that peace. God apparently didn't want you to suffer for any reason. I hate that you are gone but I'm glad I could call you a great friend.
Karen, My prayers and thoughts are with you. I am so so sorry and I know how it feels to loose someone that you love so very much that the person takes your breath away.....
IF there is anything you need help with or just to talk I am here for you. I know you are hurt , scared, and miss him with every being of your body, and you have every right to be. Take your time.....

Steve & Karen were not only our next door neighbors for the past 9 years but great friends. He was a very funny guy who would laugh about all types of situations. When both us were outside we would always stop what we were doing and got into conversations. Both us being Veterans we had a lot of in common about the military. He was always so help full to me in any type of projects. I was the neighbor who had no ability to fix things, sprinkler system, pool fixing etc. and he was the type of neighbor who could fix anything. He would see me struggling with something and would laugh and come over and help me, most of the time with two cold beers in his had or I would see a hand come over the fence with a beer. Steve was very proud of his family Daughter Kari, Grand Daughter Samantha and Grandson Andrew. He was so proud that his Grandson who enlisted in the Marines. We would have long conversations about what Andrews future will be like in the military. Steve and Karen work very hard in keeping their lawn and house in excellent shape. There home was one of the showcases of the neighborhood. I cannot believe that he he is gone, I will miss him. I cannot say enough about the friend and neighbor he was. Our love and prayers go out to Karen and family. RIP my friend.
