Guy Dallas Adsit, Jr., age 86, of Winter Park, Florida passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 in Winter Park, FL. He was the widower of Mary Ann Adsit.

Guy was born on May 29, 1933 in Bartlesville, OK, son of the late Guy Dallas, Sr. and Mary Delene (Camblin) Adsit. He grew up in Shreveport, LA. He was a career pilot for the United States Air Force, proudly and honorably serving his country during the Vietnam era from 1954 to 1976, achieving the rank of Major. While stationed at Craig AFB in Selma, AL as a Lieutenant, he met his wife, Mary Ann Duane. The Adsits traveled throughout the United States and to Japan, while building their family which grew to include six children. They retired from the Air Force to Winter Park, FL in 1976, where Guy continued his career in aviation for almost three decades. Guy and Mary Ann were married for 50 years, when Mary Ann passed away in 2009.

Guy is survived by his six children, Michele Adsit and her husband, John Simon, Tara Adsit and her husband, Anthony J. Kroes, Anita Adsit, Guy D. Adsit, III and his wife, Suzanne, Duane Michael Adsit, and Dede Adsit; six grandchildren, Nicholas Adsit Vander Loop, CPT Peter L. Simon and his wife, Bridget, Noah Adsit Vander Loop, Emmie Adsit, Keelie Adsit, and Guy Dallas Adsit, IV; and one great-grandchild, Declán Simon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two sisters, Mary Virginia Mayer, and Jean Ellen Gorham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 10:00 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 5300, Old Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, FL 32792.

The United States Air Force Honor Guard will render full military honors immediately after the mass.

Visitation will be at Newcomer Funeral Home – East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822 on Thursday, August 22, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Committal services will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, at a later date.
