James "Jim" Leroy Brower

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 20, 1938 and passed away July 3, 2019 after a 5 year battle with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's. His wife and best friend of 60 years Jeannie M. Brower, forever by his side, held his hand as he received his wings.

Jim was raised by his beloved foster family Elmer and Frances Bickler ( both deceased) and his brother, Phil Brickler.

He served proudly as a SCPO in the U.S. Navy for 24 years. Serving as a Hospital Corpsman then later as a Career Counselor. His life in the military allowed him to travel the world. When he retired from the Navy he worked for the Corporation for National Service.

Family was very important to Jim who is survived by his wife, Jeannie, daughters, Penny, Pammy, and Lily Marie as well as 7 foster children who also called him Papa. Grandchildren Jessica, James (deceased), Kelly and Traci. Great grandchildren Giovanni, Xavier, Macy, Isabella, Amelia, Tyson and Taylor.

Rest in Peace Jim, knowing you were/are loved by so many. Love you Papa, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, you will be in our hearts forever and always.

Per Jim's wishes, his remains will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered at sea in the near future.
