Matilde Atiles, 83, of Orlando, Florida passed away on March 8, 2019.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arsenio and Escolastica Lopez Rodriguez; her brother, Ernesto Lopez; and two of her grandchildren, Albert and Cheryl Renard.

Matilde is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Gonzalo Atiles; her son, Joseph Atiles; her daughter, Cheryl Atiles; her grandchildren, Crystal (Derek), Kimberly, Alexis, Elena, Miranda, Sofia, Kayla, Daniel, Leora, and Joshua; her great-grandchildren, Darisz, Zaida, Leonardo, and Zaria; her siblings, Rosalina Milagros, Consuelo, Moises, Oli, and Lydia; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Matilde loved music, knitting, crocheting, and needlepoint. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing bingo. Matilde was a wonderful mother who always had strong but loving words of encouragement for her children. She was the one who everyone turned to when they needed advice. She was loving, caring, and nurturing to those who loved her most.

A visitation will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 13 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Internment will follow on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11:00am at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Orlando, Florida.
