It is with broken hearts we share the news our precious Donald Floyd McClain went home to Heaven Mon, January 28 at 10:45 a.m. at Orlando Medical Center.

He was born September 12, 1942 in Los Angeles, CA to Earl & Hannah (Louis) McClain (deceased). To know Don was to love him. He had a marvelous spirit and an unforgettable laugh that could fill a room. He was a talented chef who could make even a simple sandwich look like you’d ordered it from a 5 star restaurant, a Vietnam Veteran, a successful salesman, a son, a brother, an uncle, and the most devoted & loving partner anyone could ever ask for.

He leaves behind his eternal Johnnie E. Williamson and Rebecca L. Williamson who he loved like a daughter.

He also loved dearly his many brothers and sisters:

Beverly Canole of Orlando, FL, Janeen Passalasqua of Winter Springs, Michael McClain of Galveston, TX, Linda Stanley of Gainesville, FL, Kenneth McClain of Madera Beach, FL, and James McClain of Winter Park, FL Preceded in death by - Ricky McClain, Barbara Wilkins, & Sharon Wright.

Those fortunate to have him in their lives for any amount of time were very blessed. There are hundreds of hilarious stories and beautiful memories of him, but almost all have a common theme...how he loved. He took care of those he loved, he enjoyed serving them and making them feel special. When he was with you he wasn’t distracted, he was interested in you. How you were, what you enjoy, what you want to be when you grow up...yes even if you’re technically already an adult. :) ha! There was and never will be anyone like him...for now we thank God for the precious gift he was to all of us, we celebrate his wonderful life, & know one day we will meet again.

Small service to be held this Friday from 2pm – 4 pm EST at VFW Post 2093, 4444 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, FL 32804.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent In Memory of Donald to the Parkinson’s Foundation, visit www.parkinson.org – the donation tab is located on the top right corner
