My girls and I remember Brianna as a stunning young woman, with a contagious smile that could light up a room. Although we haven't seen her for many years, she has, and always will be in our hearts. On our first date, Brianna rushed over to go ice skating and the second she saw the Christmas lights she slipped and fell right on the ice. Brianna was obsessed with Christmas lights and anybody who really knew her knew that. Brianna laid there on the ice without a care in the world that other people were skating on the ice. She laid there and just looked at the lights. Brianna was so passionate and loved fiercely. Seeing how passionate Brianna was about the people and things she cared about most is what truly made me fall in love with her. Brianna was a once in a lifetime person and anyone who was able to have her in their life was truly blessed. Brianna was an angel and there are no other words to describe her.

I didn’t get to know Brianna on a very personal level but we talked here and there. She was one of those people you could go up to and ask anything. It could have been what’s for lunch? Can you help me I’m going through some family problems? Are you free to help me after school? No matter the question she dropped what she was doing to help others. I remember seeing Brianna at challenge day, something that Peer Counselouring did, and she was there for her brother. When every time she had to cross the line with her brother she was there to guide the way and show her brother it’s ok to cry. It is ok to express your feelings. There are so many happy memories I want to share about Bri that it is hard to choose. I remember one time Caroline and I heard that she was having a rough day at work, so we drove through the drive thru with a car full of dogs to say hey. In true Bri fashion, she tossed the ordering ipad into the car, told us to order whatever we wanted, pulled one of the dogs through the car window and spent the next 5 minutes stalling and playing with this dog. Another time, we all went to get Bri's Harry Potter tattoo (the deathly hallow sign on her forearm). We just spent the time laughing and joking about the future tattoos we were all going to get together. She was a great friend, always willing to take up for the people she cared about. I know she was greatly loved.

Brianna and I weren’t just bestfriends. Since the day we met we acted more as sisters than bestfriends. She is such an incredible human being with an infectious soul. I feel her energy with me every day. A while back, Brianna and I had been separated for a couple of months. The first day we hung out again she showed me this beautiful necklace that she had got. It was a simple but beautiful pineapple necklace. She had left it at my house and every time I mentioned it was there she insisted that I kept it as she was planning to move back to Atlanta and I needed to keep it with me. Now, it hangs on my mirror in my car and oddly enough has started swinging every time a Shawn Mendes song comes on and I have no doubt that she is next to me singing along. I love that girl more than anyone could ever know and my loyalty still to this day runs deep with her and her family. She was my safe place and my warrior and never cared about being who she was. If I get to be half of the kind of person she was, I will be set forever. I love you so much, my soulmate! You’re with me everywhere I go.

I had the privilege of coaching Brianna in softball at the WOGC. Her smile, attitude and outgoing personality made her a force at the complex. Her spirit on the field motivated others, including me. Her sense of life radiated throughout my time with with her and I constantly noted how ecstatic I was to watch her. She grew as a player in front of my eyes and forever changed me as a coach. I will miss her smile the most.
