Margaret “Peggy” Deere, age 82, went to be with Jesus peacefully on July 2, 2020 surrounded by loving family. Peggy was born in Chicago, IL to Edward T. and Mildred (Bozic) Quinn.
On Nov. 10th, 1962 Peggy married Phillip “Phil” Deere. Peggy and Phil were former owners of Phil Deere’s Country Furniture in Sanford, FL. Peggy was a member of Westview Baptist Church as well as a member of the Sanford Women’s Club and Soroptimist. She was also active with the Hacienda Girl’s Ranch. Peggy and Phil enjoyed their time boating on the river, outdoor activities, and time with their family. Peggy enjoyed crafting, dancing, and giving back to the community.
Peggy was preceded in death by grandson Phillip Loveland and sister Sharon. Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Phil; 4 children, Mark Deere, Laura (Bob) Loveland, Scott (Theresa) Deere and Bridget (Tim) Dycus; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 5 siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 8th from 10 – 11 am followed by a funeral service at 11 am by Pastor Emeritus, Bill Coffman, and Pastor Charlie Higgins at Westview Baptist Church, 4100 H. E. Thomas Jr. Parkway, Sanford, FL. Private family internment to follow. Service will be streamed live and viewed at WestviewBaptist.org\live or on Facebook and YouTube Westview Baptist FL.
