Bob Stevens Life story video
Robert Frank Stevens, age 66, of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Orlando, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018. His two and a half year battle with cancer ended peacefully at his residence, surrounded by family.

Bob was born on January 16, 1952 in Charlestown, NH, son of the late Roland Raymond and Louise C. (Chester) Stevens.

He began playing violin at the age of 4, and continued playing, earning first chair all throughout his school career and also playing at Rollins College. He graduated Mid-Florida Tech for blueprinting and reprographics.

He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1974 where he was honorably discharged for medical reasons, and achieved the rank of sergeant. Bob held many jobs throughout his life, most notably he was a long time taxi driver. He loved meeting new people and sharing stories.

Bob was also a dedicated lotto player, and enjoyed going to the casino cruises and occasionally out to The Hard Rock casino, with friends.

His true passion, however, was always music. Bob enjoyed singing and playing guitar, bass, piano, violin. He played with many different musicians throughout the years, and most recently enjoyed playing with friends at Blues Night at Open Mike's in Melbourne.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Emily Stevens; his son, Jarod Stevens; and four grandchildren, Rome Stevens, Liam Stevens, Katie Stevens, and Kai Brockington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Connie Ritchie and Jean Connor.

He was an amazing father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, and we love & miss him dearly.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Bob’s life will be on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions – East Orlando Chapel, 895 S.
