George Gray Athan, 87, died Thursday, October 11, 2018
at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.

He retired from the City of Casselberry as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator.

George was a Navy veteran who served from February 20, 1952 to February 19, 1960.

He was born January 24, 1931 in Roanoke County, Virginia to George Graham Athan and Thelma Gay Stuart Athan.

He was a member of the Way of Life Baptist Church in Titusville, Florida and a life member of the VFW.

He was married to Betty Jean Burkhart Athan to died in September of 2014.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet Daugherty Seifer, son-in-law Bob Seifer, sister Ada C. Davies, brother John Athan, brother Thomas Athan, grandson Chad Daugherty, granddaughter Wendy Dowdy, granddaughter Crystal Shafer, and their husbands Greg and Mike.

Services will be held at noon on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Way of Life Baptist Church in Titusville, Florida.
Visitation at the church is at 11:00 AM the same day.
Interment will be at 11:00 AM on October 19, 2018 at All Faiths Memorial Park, Casselberry, Florida.
