In Loving Memory of

Margie A. Stoker

1942 - 2015
Margie A Stoker, 73, passed away Thursday, July 2nd, 2015 in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Margie Mason was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area. She met Walter Stoker, while he was stationed at Ft. Belvior, VA and they were married in 1960. They had four children and traveled throughout the United States and Europe during Walter’s active duty years in the military. Eventually, they settled in Cocoa, Florida where they purchased a home for their family.

In 1975, Margie became a teacher's assistant for Brevard County Public Schools. Over the years, she worked at Saturn elementary, Kennedy middle, Clearlake middle and Cocoa High School. Throughout her career, she worked to help those who needed it the most, making a lasting impression on many of her students. In 2008, she retired from the Brevard County School Board.

Margie was the happiest in life when she was spending time with her family and friends. She had a generous heart and loved to help others. She was always able to see the good in people and believed in giving second chances. She gave her love unconditionally and was the glue that held our family together. We will forever miss having her in our lives.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Walter, who recently passed away on March 13, 2015. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Mason, and brothers, Sonny and Bobby Mason. Margie is also survived by her children Bonnie Washington, Martin Stoker, Peri Parrish, and Patrick Stoker as well as several grandchildren, Janice Moore, Dustin Gaughran, Travis Gaughran, Rick Griffis, Holly Griffis, Andrew Griffis, Jennifer Gaughran, Neal Gaughran, and Michaela Stoker. Margie held a special place in her heart for her great grandchildren, Donovan, Jessica, Erin and Mia.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA of Brevard.
