We celebrate the life of Helen Florence Whaley Phillips who passed away at the Crestwood House in Titusville, Florida on April 21, 2018 at the age of 95.

Helen was born on July 9, 1922 in Auburn, New York to Edithe and Frederic Whaley. She graduated from Auburn Senior High School in 1940 and completed her training as a registered nurse at Auburn City Hospital in 1943. The same year she married Robert B. Phillips at the First Presbyterian Church of Auburn. Helen and Bob celebrated 68 years of a loving marriage prior to his death in 2011.

After traveling and living on various Army posts in the US during World War 2 with Bob, they settled in Auburn to raise their family. Helen's nursing career saw her working at the Children's Convalescent Home and on private nursing cases. At Auburn Memorial Hospital she worked in several different positions. In 1966 she joined the staff at the dermatology office of Dr. Arthur Foresman and retired from there in 1979. During retirement Helen and Bob enjoyed travels in their motor home in the winter and their home on Owasco Lake during the summer. In 2008 they moved to Titusville, Florida.

Helen and Bob's lives centered around their family and their abiding Faith. Helen was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Auburn. She is preceded by her parents, loving husband, a sister, Joyce Frazier, a grandson Christopher Restey and his wife Tracy Restey, and a great granddaughter, Myah Miller. She is survived by her three daughters, Nancy (Francis) Miller, Beverly (W. David) Restey, and Cheryl (Brian) Johnson. Six grandchildren Philip (Debra) and Christopher (Carrie) Miller, Spencer and Jay Restey and Jennifer (Taylour) and Travis (Brittany) Johnson. 10 great grandchildren: Schuyler, Connor, Logan, Josh and Mary Miller, Beckett, Callum and Colette Johnson, and Olivia and Cole Restey.

Services for Helen will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family
