Delores (Blango) Hill, known to most as Dee was born July 18, 1935. Daughter of Meyer and Lenore Blango, she was reared along with her brother Myer, and two younger sisters Sharon and Alice. Raised in Newark, NJ, she received her education and was involved as a twirler before graduating from South Side High School.

A very independent and determined young lady, Dee ventured out leaving home with a friend at the ripe age of 18 years old to live in San Francisco, California. After being away from home a few years she returned home due to her mother's illness.

While employed at RCA she met her beau Maxie (Red) Hill, married and was blessed with one daughter, Deirdre. After being a housewife for awhile she then became employed as a Unit Secretary at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of NJ and retired after 21 years of dedicated service.

Those who knew Delores, knew of her love for God, and her passion for encouraging others to have faith in Him. A devout church member, she worshiped at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset, NJ. She traveled seasonally to Florida as a ‘snow-bird’ to be with her immediate family as much as possible before the Parkinson’s Disease took a toll on her. Delores resided in Orlando with her daughter and son-in-law Michael while continually battling the insufferable disease that caused her to tire and ask the Lord to bring her home.

Her beautiful smile coupled with her humble spirit will be missed by all including her two endearing grand-children Taylor Marquis and Jahnae Ilana who loved spending time with her. She is remembered in the hearts and minds of her two nieces, Nicolle and Kaila; her one nephew, Skylar and her grand-niece, Cierra, as well as countless friends and fond acquaintances.

Although she’s gone, we know she’s blessed. We love you “Sis,” now you can rest.
