Lorene Alsup, 92, of Cocoa, departed this life peacefully and entered into the open arms of her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 15, 2017. Born on April 9, 1925 in Carthage, TN to the late Marcus B. and Frankie Ethel Hardcastle-Oliver. Lorene was one of thirteen children.

She will be remembered as the loving matriarch of her family who truly enjoyed the gift of life. Some of her many talents included: playing the guitar, banjo, singing, dancing and cooking lavish meals for family and friends. Lorene will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

Left to cherish memories are her daughters, Patricia Clemons, Sandra Field, Allie McRenolds, Jeri Marchetti and Jamie Koop; sister, Wanda; brother, Odel Oliver; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 adoring great-great grandchildren; canine companion, Max and a host of extended family members and friends. Predeceased by her beloved husband, James K. Alsup in 1998.

Calling hours will be held from 4PM to 7PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Titusville, FL. Graveside services will take place at Wilson County Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon, TN on Friday, May 19, 2017. Time is to be determined.
